Beauty 101: Growing Long Healthy Hair

Uses of olive oil to make your hair grow faster:

Last post for today!  Thought I would blog about what my hair has gone through for the past year ...

So my hair has been previously processed with with bleaching and lightening a couple of times which is very damaging to your hair(I have pretty strong hair since it had been bleached allot of times in the past year and its surprising to me that it never fell out!). I went  to the salon and got an ombre done to my  hair the first time and I liked it for a while then I went back to black hair then dyed it ombre again by myself and now I'm back to black! I know I must be hair bipolar or something! Well now I'm deciding to stick to my natural hair colour and I'm not thinking of dying it again for at least a long while...

So I went and chopped half my hair off to get rid of all the damaged ends. I now have to let my hair grow out healthy. I usually get trims every 4 - 6 months. If I go to the hair salon before 4 months it would be most likely be to just get face framing layers.  I don't like going to get trims that often so in order to keep my hair healthy and nourished I usually deep condition it with olive oil.  Olive oil provides many benefits for your hair and even your skin!

I have started using olive oil for the past year since I got my hair lightened with bleach and wanted to keep it healthy. Olive oil has proven to me that it is really effective at keeping hair healthy. I didn't really see that many spilt ends or discovered any breakage after all the bleaching my hair had gone through. Olive oil helped my hair become really soft and silky. Olive oil is also effective at making your hair grow faster (not even kidding).

The benefits I found are listed on this site

Hot towel hair treatment  every 2 - 4 weeks using Olive Oil (This is what I usually do):

  1. First I warm up the olive oil
  2. Wait at least 3 - 5 min for it to cool down  just a little (don't want to burn yourself!)
  3. I then distribute it evenly onto my hair
  4. I then I grab a towel and run it under really warm water
  5. Now I wrap my hair with the towel and let it sit for at least 20 - 30 mins
  6. Lastly, I wash out all the oil from my hair with my shampoo and condition it with a conditioner
  7. After  you do this you will discover how soft your hair feels and how silky it looks!
