  • Loreal Voluminous butterfly mascara
  • Loreal Voluminous Intenza mascara
  • Mac staunchly style lip pencil
  • Loreal Pro Matte Infallible foundation (This is the best drug store foundation I've ever used and highly recommend it to anyone with combination skin. It keeps your skin looking not too matte and not too dewy  and gives you a flawless look, fair coverage, and it isnt cakey at all!)

Eyebrows: Anastasia Perfect Brow Pencil

So I finally purchased the Anastasia Perfect Brow Pencil ($30.00 CND) in dark brown.  I like my eyebrows to look as natural as possible and don't really like to over fill them as much and this eyebrow product is just what I needed. This brow pencil actually makes your eyebrows appear natural instead of giving you that harsh look to your eyebrows.

With this brow pencil you can even make your eyebrows look more thicker if you want and it won't look obvious!  Overall it is a great product in my opinion.

Estee Lauder Double Wear vs Covergirl Outlast 3 in 1

Hello everyone! Its been a while since I talked about the current foundation I'm using so I decided to review these 2 foundations that I had for a while now. Since these both are suppose to be long wearing foundations I find them very comparable to each other.

Covergirl 3 in 1 Foundation - Cost $12.00 CND (Colour 942 medium beige) :

The cover girl outlast 3 in 1 foundation is a drugstore foundation and is cheaper than the Estee lauder double wear foundation. I really do like the cover girl outlast 3 in 1 foundation. This foundation is suppose to have a lasting power of a primer, a coverage of a concealor and a blendibility of a foundation. To start off I'm going to say this foundation does have a really nice coverage for my skin   and it does last all day long! This is a really lightweight foundation and you won't notice that you have foundation on. When I applied this onto my skin it glided on smoothly and blended really well. It dries to a matte finish. I wore this foundation throughout the day and it lasted all day long even after a workout!

The part I didn't like about this foundation is that the colours seem to have a pink undertone instead of a golden yellow undertone so it didn't really match my skin perfectly.

Estee Lauder Double wear stay in place foundation - Cost $44.00 CND (Colour - 2W2 RATTAN) :

This is another foundation I really wanted to try out since all the beauty bloggers rave about it. This foundation is suppose to be a 15 hour stay in place foundation and is suppose to stay flawless in all conditions.

There are many things this foundation claims to guarantee such as:
  • won't change color
  • won't come off clothes
  • oil free and oil controlling
  • fragrance free
  • won't clog pores
  • light weight
  • medium to buildable coverage
  • dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested
In my opinion this is a really good foundation. The part I loved about this foundation is the colour selection. If you have a yellow undertone to your skin this line of foundation provides a wide variety of colours for you. I find this foundation to be a full coverage foundation. Just a tiny bit of foundation will go along way. As I applied this foundation on it set onto my face instantly and it dried to a matte finish.  This foundation is lightweight and you won't notice you have it on all day long!

In regards to the staying power I know that at the end of the day my T zone area gets pretty oily and I found that this foundation lasted all day long and it did stay semi-matte. This foundation looked great even after my workout! The part I didn't like about this foundation is the packaging it comes with no pump and I always end up pouring out more than I should!

If I had to choose between the two foundations I would pick the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation over the Covergirl 3 in 1 because I find that Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation comes in yellow undertones and the foundation matched my skin perfectly.  Despite the colours that are offered by these two brands  I found both of these foundations quiet similar to each other.

I hope you liked this post! Thanks for stopping by!

Current Everyday Favourite Pink Lipsticks

These are the swatches of the two lipsticks Pink Plaid by MAC is on the left and high pigment pencil by Bite Beauty called bouquet is on the right.

Currently these are the two lipsticks I love wearing everyday. These two lipsticks aren't not bright and look really nice on your lips. The MAC lipstick is more matte and has got a blue undertone to it and the bite beauty lipstick has more of a peach undertone and is  more moisturizing which is good for keeping your lips moist all day long.

Orange is the new black this year: 2014

Orange is the new black this year. You see many celebrities and models in magazines wearing bright, bold, orange lipstick colours. I'm actually loving this trend and think orange lipstick brightens up your face and makes a statement. Its a bit daring to wear but there are many options of different shades of orange available out there to suit your complexion.

Sephora Sample Review

I had these samples from Sephora  lying around and I thought it was great idea to the review these products.

Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector - To start off I'm going to say I absolutely LOVE this primer. I have oily to combination skin and this is such a great primer that mattifies your skin before you put on your foundation. This primer comes in a apple sauce kind of consistency its  kind of sticky but as you work it onto your face it almost sucks out all the oil and shine off your skin in an instant. This primer made my foundation glide on so smoothly and evenly.  My foundation stayed matte all day long!

This primer is great for those who have really oily skin especially in the summer. It will make your foundation stay matte even in hot and humid weathers.  I definitely want to purchase this product!

NARS Pure Radiant tinted moisturizer - This is a really good tinted moisturizer with an SPF. It feels really light and airy on the face. The texture of this tinted moisturizer is really smooth and nice.  It has really good coverage for a tinted moisturizer which is also a  plus and leaves your skin feeling hydrated all day long. This tinted moisturizer comes in 13 shades providing different undertones to match your complexion.

Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation Mattifying and Oil Free - This is another product I instantly fell INLOVE WITH! This foundation is made for people who have oily  skin and is great for the summer! This foundation gives a medium coverage,  it glides on smoothly and gives your face a nice powdery finish. I love the consistency of this foundation and  it also feels really nice when applied on the skin.

This foundation looks beautiful all day long! I really want to go purchase this!

Jack Black Glycolic Facial Cleanser - This cleanser is amazing. I washed my face with this and it left my face looking clean, it minimized my pores, my skin felt hydrated,  and  it evened out my skin tone as well.   Overall this is a great product!

Urban Decay Naked Palette 3 - Swatches & Makeup Look

I finally got my hands on the Urban Decay's rose gold inspired Naked Palette 3! I'm  excited to share swatches and a makeup look I created with this beautiful palette on today's blog post. This palette offers 12 beautiful rose gold inspired mattes and metallics. This palette also came with 4 samples of Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer (Original, Eden, Sin, Anti-aging which I haven't tried ) and a doubled ended eyeshadow brush. You can create many different beautiful eyeshadow looks with this palette. The shades are nicely pigmented, smooth and blendable.

Here are the swatches starting from the top:

  1. Strange - matte
  2. Dust - metallic (Out of all of the colours this one its comes out dusty, metallic and shimmery)
  3. Burnout - matte
  4. Limit - matte
  5. Buzz - metallic
  6. Trick - metallic
  7. Nooner - matte
  8. Liar - metallic
  9. Factory - metallic
  10. Mugshot - metallic
  11. Darkside - looks metallic but comes off matte
  12. Blackheart -  comes off matte with gold sparkles

Here is a look I created using trick in the inner corners of my eyes, liar on my lid, mugshot on my outer crease blending it onto the outer corner of my eye, I then used strange underneath my eyebrow and blended everything out. I also added dark side on my lower lash line to define my eye.  To finish the look off  I added some eyeliner on my upper lash line, some mascara and white liner on my bottom water line.

And don't forget to prime your lids so that your eyeshadow will be kept in place and look nice all day long!

I hope you enjoyed my post thanks for visiting!

Home Decor: My Bedroom

So I have been renovating my room and redesigning it for a while. I had my walls painted lavender for quiet a while I was just getting tired of the wall colour and wanted to give my room a new look. So I repainted my room a more of a darker lavender colour close to grey. I'm liking my wall colour allot.

The theme that I had in my head was a black and white theme so I went to target and picked up some pillows, cushions and sheets. I found the nicest set of sheets and cushions at target to go with what I wanted my room to look like.

I found this beautiful candle to put on my side table (It smells like heaven! The name of the scent is midnight orchid).  It gives off a really nice sweet smell I'm also loving how it goes with my lamp. I also bought some nice flowers to put on my side table (flowers just make me happy).

I love to be organized and I wanted nice things to organize my makeup and beauty products in and I found these nice cute boxes at the dollar store that I'm using to store my makeup in. They are looking really good on top of my dressing table.

I also found these 2 things at the dollar store and I'm thinking of getting a few more. I used the lipstick organizer holder thing (i really don't know what its actually called so bare with me lol) to put on top  of my dressing table to hold the lipsticks I use everyday. The little organizer basket I found is so convenient to store things like bobby pins (so I won't lose them), pencil sharpeners, wedged makeup sponges, and my eyelash curler.

So these are the few things I bought for my room. I'm still working on it and might post how my whole room looks after I'm all done with it.

Here is some more bedroom inspiration that I'm liking:

These are some things I found on the etsy website for room inspiration:

This is one of my favourite Audrey Hepburn quote: "For beautiful eyes look for the good in others; for beautiful lips speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."
