Two Faced Beauty Blogger Darlings

These are the 4 two faced products that beauty bloggers rave about and love the most.  So I decided to try them out for myself  since I haven't and see what I like about these products.

This is the 'Two Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer.' This bronzer has no shimmer to it which is the first thing I look for when buying a bronzer. This bronzer smells like chocolate almost makes you want to eat it. It feels really smooth and applies on really nice and matte. It is a nice bronzer you can use to contour your face with. It isn't an all over bronzer since its a bit too dark and would end up making your face look muddy in my opinion.

This is the 'Two Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara.'  I got to say the excitement is real this is by far the best mascara I ever tried.  At first the brush kind of made me skeptical since it was a bit chunky but as soon as I applied one coat of mascara onto my eyelashes my eyelashes looked 10x  more voluminous. The mascara is really dark which I'm also loving. As soon as you apply the second coat it'll  wow you!  You won't need fake eyelashes if you apply this on your eyelashes. I applied this without curling my eyelashes and it does give my eyelashes a curl as well.  There is a bit of clumping with this mascara but I don't really mind it. Overall, I love this mascara and I'm probably going to purchase this in a bigger size.

This is 'Two Faced - Primed and Poreless smoothing Primer.'   I'm not really a fan of this one. I find this primer to be alright. When I apply it onto my face it does make my face smooth before applying on my foundation but it just doesn't really impress me. My foundation just does not set with this applied on underneath. It's just not for my skin. I find my skin looking oily and it just doesn't look right to me when I used this primer. This primer just does not compare to the one I always use which is the 'Rimmel Fix and Perfect Pro Primer.'

This is the 'Two Faced - Shadow Insurance Anti - Crease eyeshadow primer.'  I don't wear eyeshadow on the regular but when I do I would love to use this primer. This is a great primer and it allows my eyeshadow to last all day long. This is definitely worth a try!

I purchased this box of two faced products from Sephora. The products are all mini sized so you can try them out and purchase the regular sized one if you like any of them.

Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipsticks: Violet

So I fell into the Hype and picked up one of the Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick from Sephora. Bite beauty is a Canadian company that manufactures their lipsticks with all natural ingredients which are safe enough to eat. The lipstick that I purchased is in the colour 'Violet.' The colour is similar to the lipstick 'Flat Out Fabulous' by MAC except this lipstick has more of a pink undertone instead of a blue undertone.

I find this lipstick so creamy and moisturizing on my lips. I love how pigmented this lipstick is and overall I find this lipstick just amazing. This lipstick lasts on my lips for more than 3 hours and leaves a nice stain when it fades or when you try to take it off.

This line of lipsticks provides you with a beautiful colour selection.  I want to purchase all of the colours!

Beauty On a Budget: Elf Cosmetics Review

On my face:
ELF studio matte lip colour in tea rose
ELF 3 in 1 mascara
ELF Precision Eyeliner (so difficult for me to apply it since the brush bristles stick out)
ELF Eyeshadow from their 100 eyeshadow palette

So I'm finally going to review all the ELF products I recently purchased a while back ago. ELF cosmetics is a company that sells its makeup for really cheap prices. Their makeup products and applicators cost around $1.00 - $15.00.  You can find ELF products on their  website. If you live in the United States you can find their products at Target I believe. I live in Canada and I never really saw any ELF cosmetics in our Target stores.

My overall rating for these products would be 7/10. I believe most of the products I've purchased are really good however there are some things about some products I didn't like.

This is the Elf Studio 3 in 1 mascara. This mascara is suppose to voluminize, lengthen, and define your eyelashes. To start off I'm going to say I LOVE the brush applicator that comes with this mascara. The brush makes it easy to apply your mascara on your eyelashes. I find that the brush separates and helps get the mascara right on my eyelashes and I found that the brush somehow also helps extend them. The brush applicator is also amazing for your bottom eyelashes as well.

This mascara also voluminze and defines your eyelashes.  I find that this mascara takes longer to dry which makes it easier to put a couple of coats of mascara onto your eyelashes before it dries off. I find that if I put a few coats of this mascara onto my eyelashes it does give them the desired volume and depth I want. So far I'm loving this mascara and for the price of this mascara I believe its definitely worth a try.

I also purchased their ELF Studio Lotion wipes in coconut vanilla scent. These wipes are infused with Aloe vera, vitamin E, cocoa butter, soy, ginkgo biloba,  coconut milk,  and sweet almond oil. All the ingredients listed in this product are naturally suppose to be hydrating and nourishing.  I find that these wipes are moisturizing and nourishing.  Usually I like using these when I'm taking my makeup off and cleansing my face at the end of the day. I believe for the price of these wipes they are worth it
and I have no complaints.

This is the ELF 100 piece eyeshadow set. This set contains many different shades for creating dramatic looks, natural looks, creating natural or dramatic smokey eyes. I find the colours to be nicely pigmented. I'm liking this palette. If you are looking for a variety of nicely pigmented eyeshadow shades to wear this palette is for you. For the price of this palette is definitely worth a try. To make these eyeshadows last longer and appear more radiant try using a good eyeshadow primer  for your eyelids before you apply these eyeshadows.

This is the ELF Studio matte lip colour. The colour that I purchased is in tea rose. This colour is a natural mauve colour you can wear everyday. I'm liking this colour and find it to be nicely pigmented, however, I find that it doesn't really last on my lips for that long. This lipstick  has good pigment and there also a variety of other colours you can try out.

This is a swatch of the ELF studio Matte lip colour in tea rose.

This is the ELF Studio Glossy Gloss in 'salmon.' This is a really nice lip gloss. I like this lip gloss paired with the ELF Studio matte lipstick in 'tea rose.' It is also really nice by itself and I love how pigmented this lipgloss is. They also provide this lipsticks in other different colours that I would love to purchase.  This lip gloss is moisturizing and isn't sticky at all.

This is the ELF Studio makeup mist & set spray. It is suppose to help set your makeup for the day. I love this set spray and its definitely worth a try. My makeup stays set throughout the day and doesn't wear off. I feel like this spray makes my makeup look better it just does that final touch. This is definitely worth a shot so you can see for yourself. When I purchased this set spray I looked up other reviews for this set spray and some were complaining about the smell. The one I received  didn't really have any strong scent.

This is the ELF Studio Flawless Concealer Brush. For the price of this brush I find that the quality of the brush is really good from their studio line. The bristles are really soft and aren't hay like Personally,  I find the brush bristles too large  and fluffy to apply on my concealer. This brush does work well when you want to blend in your eyeshadow. The quality of the brush is really good but I personally feel like its not meant for applying on concealer.

This is the ELF Studio baked bronzer in St. Lucia. I don't like this bronzer. This bronzer doesn't have enough pigment in it to show up on my face and it has shimmer to it which I'm not liking. This bronzer comes in other different shades as well that you can try out if you want. I won't purchase this bronzer again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

This is the ELF Studio Precision Liquid Eyeliner. I like the eyeliner, however, I'm not liking the brush that came with the eyeliner. The brush bristles stick out and the brush isn't that thin so it makes it difficult to get that straight eyeliner line you want.

This is the  ELF Makeup Lock & Seal. The purpose of this product is to lock and seal your eyeshadow and lipstick. I don't find that this does lock in my lipstick or eyeshadow.

These are the two false eyelash kits I purchased. The ELF Studio VIP eyelash Kit comes with clear eyelash glue, 2 false eyelashes, lash applicator clip, and an eyelash stand. The other eyelash kit I bought was the  ELF Natural Eyelash Kit and comes with only the glue. I actually like the eyelashes  in this kit I find that theVIP false eyelashes give your lashes a really dramatic look and its not for me.  I don't like the glue that comes with both of these false eyelash kits at all. The eyelashes won't stick to my lids even for a second. If you want these eyelashes you can purchase them but you will have to purchase a different eyelash glue to make these eyelashes stick to your eyelids.

This is a white eyeliner I purchased from ELF. Its called the  ELF Eye Widner Pencil.  I purchased this pencil to wear on my on my bottom water line. I find its not that pigmented and doesn't really go on my water line that easily.

This is the ELF Eyelash Curler I purchased. I like this eyelash curler, it gives my eyelashes a long lasting curl.

These are normal blending sponges you can purchase anywhere from target or any other drug stores in your area.  These blending wedges are used to pat on your concealer or foundation onto your face. If you drag it around your face it will give you a streaky look and it is difficult to blend your makeup onto your face with these blending wedges if you do that.   If you try applying foundation with these it actually soaks up all your foundation instead of helping it blend onto your skin. I don't really use these all the time just at times when I feel like my concealer  needs a little touch up.

This is the ELF Waterproof Eyeliner Pen. When I first tried to apply this onto my eyelids the eyeliner didn't work. I won't be purchasing this product again...

And lastly, This is the ELF Hyper Shine Lipgloss. I don't really like this lipgloss I find that this lip gloss dries out my lips and it is a little sticky.

And that's the review for all of the ELF products I purchased recently.  I found that some of their products are really good and some aren't. These products are good to experiment with because they aren't that expensive.

Mac pro long-wear Foundation and Mac Studio Finish Concealer Review /Urban Decay Optical Blurring Brush Review

On todays post I am going to review the Mac Pro Long-wear Concealer, Mac Studio Finish Concealer and the Urban Decay Optical Blurring Brush.

Mac Pro Longwear Foundation:

These days I'm starting to experiment with different foundations to see what works well with my skin. I was looking for a foundation that you can wear in the morning and still looks good at the end of the day. This foundation is suppose to wear up to 15 hours in any environmental condition. It claims that it is a lightweight foundation that  blends and applies easily onto your skin.

After using this foundation I believe that it is a long wearing foundation. This foundations lasts all day long. At the end of the day your foundation will still look like you freshly applied it onto your face. Compared to other foundations I fine that this foundation looks more natural on my skin. The shade NC40 blends in perfectly with my skin tone. It is a medium to full coverage foundation.  I find that this foundation gives enough coverage for my face but if you want that extra coverage this foundation is very buildable as well.

This foundation doesn't have an SPF in it so its good for days when you have a party, event or wedding to go to where allot of pictures are going to be taken of you. A foundation without an SPF works well when taking pictures because it helps prevent that ghostly look you get after a flash that those foundations that do have an SPF.

The flip side to this foundation I found was that it doesn't really glide on to your skin easily unless you wear a primer underneath. You will have to stipple and buff  it onto your face and ensure you blend it correctly. Other than that I'm really liking this foundation. It's  a foundation that doesn't make my face look like it has foundation on and the colour matches my skin perfectly.

Mac Studio Finish Concealer:

I also purchased the Mac Studio Finish concealer in NC20 with SPF 35. So far I'm liking this concealer to wear underneath my eyes. It also covers up any dark circles I might have and brightens up my eye area.  It also blendable and buildable.  I'm liking this concealer and I will stick to it for now.

Urban Decay Optical Blurring Brush:

This is the brush that I mostly apply all my foundations with.  A good foundation brush is essential when you want to evenly blend your foundation onto your skin. This brush is synthetic, cruelty free,  and is made out of recycled aluminum. I usually buff out my foundation with this brush and it distributes the foundation evenly onto my skin. You can work your way around with this brush underneath your eyes, around your nose, and around the brow area.

I have also used this brush with the FIT ME foundation that I didn't like since I found it to be too streaky. This brush made the FIT ME foundation apply so evenly and nicely onto my face.

This is currently my favourite brush to apply foundation with right now.

How to wear red lipstick

Hello everyone! On todays post I'm going to talk about how to wear red lipstick. I believe red lipstick  is elegant, classy, and exquisite. Sometimes, red lipstick is all you need to complete your look.

When wearing bold lip colours us ladies have to be cautious of how much make up we put on our face. Red lips and dramatic eyes is a BIG no no...

What I do when I wear a bold lip is to make sure that everything else on my face is neutral. When I wear red lipstick or any other bold lip colour I usually use bronzer to contour my cheekbones, wear winged eyeliner and mascara on my eyes. You don't really need to wear blush when wearing a bold lip but if you want to give your face a little flushed and healthy look make sure the blush is in a light peachy tone. If you want to wear eyeshadow make sure that the colours you use are natural. Stick to nude, brown and beige colours for a day time look if you choose to wear some eyeshadow with your red lips. For a night time look you can switch it up to a neutral smoky eye and some natural fake eyelashes.

There are  many different shades of red out there to go with your skin tone. Not the same red lipstick is meant for everyone.

Here is a a guide I found that might help you choose your shade:

So I hope this post helped some ladies figure out how to wear that perfect, elegant, classic, bold red lipstick look in the day time or night on the town.

Drugstore Facial Products Review

  • Aveeno Active Naturals -  Skin brightening scrub
  • Marcelle - Soothing Cleansing water for face and eyes
  • Marcelle - Night cream

Aveeno Active Naturals - Skin Brightening scrub
The Aveeno skin brightening scrub is a daily scrub made with moisture rich soy extracts and gentle microbeads. It is soap free, oil free,  hypoallergenic, non comedogenic.  It claims it gently exfoliates for even tone and texture to reveal brighter more radiant skin. I have the most difficult time finding the right facial cleanser for my face since it is very sensitive to most facial cleansers and scrubs. This is that one facial cleanser I have found at a reasonable price that doesn't irritate my skin. After a week of cleansing with this facial scrub I have noticed that my skin feels smooth, it looks brighter and healthier. This cleanser doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or flaky. It also leaves my skin feeling moisturized and hydrated. I'm really starting to love this cleanser and I had to purchase it again after finishing up the first bottle that I've bought. This bottle lasts about 3 - 4 weeks if you cleanse your face with it everyday.

Marcelle - Soothing Cleansing water for face and eyes
The Marcelle soothing cleansing water for face and eyes is paraben free, oil free, alcohol free, non comedogenic, perfume free, hypo-allergenic. It's made out of a non - rinse formula and is gentle for all skin types.  It claims to cleanse the face without irritating or drying out the skin  and remove even long- wearing and waterproof makeup. Reading this I had to purchase it to try it out to see for myself.  I found that this cleanser removes all of my makeup and tones out my skin. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated. I usually use this at the end of the day when I need to remove my makeup and cleanse my face. Since its made out of a non-rinse formula its convenient for those women who are on the run to the gym and want to remove their makeup before they workout. You can use this cleanser any time to quickly cleanse your face and to remove all of your makeup off.

Marcelle - Night Cream
This is probably my first night cream I've purchased. Usually I just moisturize my face with a regular moisturizer. I didn't really have an interest in purchasing a night cream. After looking up the benefits of a night cream I found that its at night that our bodies take it's time to rest and repair. The skin also  regenerates at night and night creams are used to help regenerate the skin effectively while you sleep. Night creams consists of anti aging properties and can help prevent early signs of wrinkles.

After using this night cream I found that it moisturizes my skin and my skin doesn't look irritated or oily at all. Usually some moisturizers I found leaves  my skin looking oily and this night cream doesn't do that on my skin. My skin looks refreshed and rejuvenated in the morning. So far I don't have a problem with this night cream and I will continue to use it.

Elf Cosmetics Review Coming Soon...

Elf products are known to be really cheap and affordable. For those who  are looking for cheap makeup products Elf Cosmetics provides a wide selection of many makeup products and applicators at really cheap prices. I have recently purchased quiet a few Elf products online and it only cost me around $40.00! I'm excited to try them all and give out my review for these products! Stay tuned...

My Current Everyday Makeup Products

Recently these have been my most used everyday makeup products:

•   Makeup forever Rogue Artist Lipstick in Intense 30 and 32
•   Naked Flushed bronzer, blush and highlighter pallet
•   Laura Mercier oil free supreme foundation in Sunny Beige
•   Buxom True Hue blush in Breathless
•   Loreal Voluminous Power Collagen Mascara

I have been using these products for quiet some time now. I find that the Laura Mercier foundation is a medium to full coverage matte foundation. I found that this foundation works well with my oily skin and I can usually go about the day without having to touch it up with powder for about 8 - 10 hours.

The Naked Flushed bronzer, blush, and highlighting pallet is a great pallet to make your face light up and become brighter. Out of the pallet I love the bronzer for contouring my cheek bones and the highlighter to make my  face look awake, flushed and healthy. Its a great starter kit for those who don't know much about makeup. The flip side to this pallet is that the bronzer and blush only come in one colour. For those with a darker skin tone would find the bronzer too light for their skin.

I am also loving the Makeup Forever Rogue Artist lipsticks. They are matte and  super pigmented lipsticks. This lipstick stays on my lip for about 4 hours but does wear off after I eat or drink.  My two go to shades from this line are intense 30 and 32. The Intense 30 is a nude, pale, pink tone. This lipstick is good for a everyday makeup look since its a neutral lip colour. The intense 32 is more of a bright pinkish coral. It's also a really pretty colour to wear every day as well.

I love wearing blush and believe it gives your face a health glow. The blush that I currently wear is by Buxom from their true hue collection called Breathless. This blush gives off a gorgeous, peachy, pink colour that will give your face a natural glow. It's currently my favourite blush in my makeup drawer right now! This blush glides on smoothly, is natural looking, and doesn't make you look like you have way too much blush on. This line has  good selection of blushes and offers 10 other beautiful shades to choose from.

Currently I have been wearing the Loreal Voluminous Power Collagen mascara. I love this mascara it doesn't clump, gives my lashes lots of volume and applies on really smoothly.
